I again woke up early. I walked towards the village and came around the local cemetery. Some graves looked nicer than the others, but some were already 30 years old. Then I had breakfast together with the other guests. There was also a Dutch couple. The weather was good.
After breakfast get ready for the morning dives. We went even further this time way to Manado Tua. A dive site that had a little more inclined wall. Here I saw, among other things, Scorpion fish, a turtle, a school Batfish, fire dart fish, various Butterfly fish, boxfish and schools different fish. Half way through the dive I lost, in a corner with a lot of current, a lead pocket, making it more difficult to stay under water, but luckily I had enough weight with me and I got one block of the dive guide Abdah.
The dive lasted just under an hour. After this, we sailed to Pangulingan (Mikeâs point), a beautiful place. Here, too, a light current, but plenty of nudibranches, dotted moray eel, sea cucumber and other interesting fish to look at. Furthermore, many hard coral, but also feather stars and table coral.
After the dive we went back to the resort and around 2.14 PM we had lunch. After some chatting I prepared for a dusk dive to view the Mandarin fishes at Mika Kampung (across the village). This time I only went with Abdah, because Laetitia was not allowed to dive because they would she would fly to Jakarta tomorrow afternoon.
There were there about 6 Mandarin fish. I could take good pictures during the 30 minutes they were visible. There was plenty of other underwater life to see such as a Lionfish, large nudibranch, big Street Sweeper and Scorpion fish. After 66 minutes diving back to resort and showering.
Then eat and chat. Later in the evening we went to a wedding, which was just outside the resort. People were dancing and singing. It was very crowded because the whole village and all tourists were invited. After half an hour we went back to the resort and I listened to some music. The party stopped late in the night and there was also silence. It went somewhat at the expense of the night's sleep.
