Around 7.30 am I woke up and had breakfast. Around 8.30 am I left, after still taking some photographs. I drove to Salina Cruz. Here was not much to see and I didn’t took the effort to get off. I drove further along the coast with views on sea and salt pans. The way was sometime straight, sometimes winding. The landscape was mostly dry. I drove through the coastal town of Puerto Angel to Mazunte where a shelter for turtles is situated. Unfortunately today it was closed. I drove further to Puerto Escondido, where I checked in around 2.30 pm at an Arabian styled hotel. After a beer I walked to a small beach area with many small restaurants. I hoped here to find something like a dive centre, but that were none. Then I walked to another beach, but also here was no dive centre. I sat down at a small bar and drank a beer. It was still rather warm. After an hour I walked back through the centre to my hotel (approximately 2 kilometers further on). I was here just in time to see the sunset. After some reading I ate at the restaurant of the hotel. There was another couple who ate here also, for the rest was it very quiet.
After some more reading I went to sleep around 11.30 pm.
