Travellingman reisverhalen - - Oaxaca
Day 14: 15 maart 2008
Oaxaca

Around 8.00 am I went for a breakfast. I met the Danish woman I met yesterday. Her husband had become sick. It was, just like yesterday evening, many tourists who stayed also in the hotel. Around 9.30 am I left for a walk along all churches and cathedrals of Oaxaca. Most of them are not really sensational, but there were a couple exceptions. Saint Domingo was such a cathedral. At the moment of my visit, a wedding was going on, but the church was accessible. Beside the cathedral is a convent, which is arranged as an archaeological museum. It gives an overview of the history of 800 before Christ to the middle of the 20th century. It varies from military matter to medicine and brewing of beer.

After a visit of more than an hour I walked further and finished on the Cocola, a central square. I the meantime I did some shopping. I visited also market situated inside a big building.

Around 3.30 pm I was back at the hotel. It was again warm, thus I went for a swim, had a beer and spoke with the Danish woman and read my book.

At night I ate a pizza and went for a visit to a festival (Noche the Luces) that lasts 6 days. There was dancing and music. Around 10 pm I was back at the hotel and watched TV, before I went to sleep around midnight.
